What’s Saturday brunch without the hearty goodness of a tangy Bloody Mary? Well, impressing your guests (or treating yourself) just got WAY easier because Pete’s is carrying a new line of Bloody Mary mixes from Stone Hollow Farmstead! The traditional Bloody Mary just got a major upgrade, because each jar comes straight from a family-run farm outside of Birmingham, Alabama, where it was lovingly prepared using fresh, local ingredients. There are delicious flavors to choose from, too:
Scary Mary – a hot and spicy concoction that gets its kick from habanero and smoky chipotle peppers.
Dirty Mary – the “salsa verde” of Bloody Mary mixes, made with tomatillos.
Loaded Mary – chock full of garden veggies like cucumber, celery, and German Johnson tomatoes. (Pete’s Tip: It can double as a gazpacho!)
Making a Bloody Mary with these flavorful mixes is so easy! Simply pour the mix of your choice into a pretty pitcher, add 1 1/2 cups of your favorite vodka, and chill. When you’re ready to serve, you could just add a stalk of celery and be done with it. Or…
We love the idea of creating a Bloody Mary Bar! These topping ideas are so hearty and delicious that you might just decide to drink your brunch instead, and we completely approve. There are any number of ways to top off your Bloody Mary cocktail, but Ari of the Well Seasoned Studio suggests:
Pimento or blue cheese stuffed olives
Make sure to have plenty of toothpicks on hand for easy handling and assembly. If you’re feeling extra fancy, she suggests kicking it up a notch by garnishing the rim of each glass with a mix of salt and finely chopped celery leaves. And don’t forget to keep them chilled! How gorgeous do these look?
Whether you keep it simple by just adding vodka, or go all out with fresh toppings, these Bloody Mary mixes are a MUST for your next brunch. Just make sure you invite us!
