Chances are you’ve seen fiddle-leaf figs in containers in well-lit offices or homes. Their huge green leaves certainly give this beautiful plant a tropical air and make it a great focal point in a space.
The fiddle-leaf fig really likes very bright light and humidity. Don’t put it next to a furnace vent or something blowing directly on it. For watering, we recommend once a week depending upon the size of the plant and the warmth of the room. You can stick your finger in the soil to see if it needs water and if you stick your finger down an inch and it’s dry, water it. The best thing to do with a fiddle-leaf is like any other house plant…be consistent! If you water plants every Friday, check it every Friday to make sure it doesn’t need water. If the leaves start browning around the edges or have brown spots, it could be that you’re watering it too much. Overwatering is the worst thing you can do to a fiddle-leaf fig. Check to make sure it’s draining properly and cut back on the water!
